In this video, I will show you how to set up your single post template with Elementor Pro
- First log into your WordPress admin area and make sure Elementor Pro is installed and activated
- Next hover over Elementor and click on the My templates option
- If you do not have any templates created yet choose the Single tab
- Click on the add new single button, give a name to your template and choose post as the post type
- Hit create template
When the editor loads, you will be given the options in the Blocks navigator. In case you wish to edit your own single post template you just need to close this modal and create your own template. For this example we will use the available block…simply hover over one and hit the import button. Of course you are free to edit this template too.
We have specific widgets available too to help you in creating one from scratch:
- Post title
- Post excerpt
- Post content
- Post featured image
- Post navigation
- and information
But you need to know that standard widegts have dynamic options too, in case you with to use them in a creative way.
To preview the single post in different situations hit the little eye icon next to the publish button. We now have two options, one is settings where as you can see we can set in which post type you wish to use for or simply hit the preview option.
If you are happy with it hit the publish button. Now comes the second part of the single posts template set-up! The next step is to use the dynamic conditions, this will be responsible where the created template will be visible. With the right settings you can create a variety of templates for different post categories.
When you are happy with the settings just hit the publish button.
